Welcome to MOPS and MOPS NEXT at First Federated Church!

MOPS/MOPS NEXT stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and into the next step -- Elementary school. We exist to meet the needs of every mom -- moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS/MOPS NEXT recognizes that the years of infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS/MOPS NEXT helps moms through relationships estabilished in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children. Come join us at Federated to begin your quest to be the mom God intended you to be!

Our Next Meeting

Do you ever struggle to find new healthy ideas for snacks and lunches for your kids? Do you go to the pantry and are bored with the same old ingredients to make meals for your family? If you answered yes to these questions, then you MUST come to MOPS this Tuesday, October 26 at 8:45! We will be having Anne Cundiff a Hy-Vee Dietitian share three new recipes that we will make and eat right at MOPS. She will also have a question and answer time. She is FULL of great ideas. Come... your family's taste buds will thank you!
Anne is a registered and licensed dietitian with Hy-Vee on Fleur Drive in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, Anne works full time providing customers information on all aspects of nutrition in and out of the store.

Anne graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Iowa State University for her dietetic internship. Prior to working with Hy-Vee, Anne spent seven years as a clinical dietitian at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Anne offers a wide range of programs and services - wellness, cooking, weight loss, diabetes, heart health, food allergies and other disease-specific needs. Anne is certified in Adult Weight Management through the American Dietetic Association.
